The mercury may still be creeping above the 90 degree mark, but we are well into September and fall is definitely on it’s way! For me, every season change brings with it a little bit of motivation to make something happen or do something a little better. I have a pretty long list of personal goals for this autumn, but by far the most exciting one is a total redesign of my blog! I’m going for a totally new look, a new focus, new organization…just a whole lot of newness!
The truth is, all this newness is a bit overwhelming; I still don’t have a handle on all this “blog stuff.” Let’s say that I am taking my idea of “Why Not?” learn something new to a whole new level! I am getting some much needed help from a few awesome folks (more on that later!) and am making some behind the scenes progress, but this overhaul is still proving to be a time consuming process. In light of that, I wanted to let you know that, with the exception of the weekly Pinterest Game that I co-host, I will not be publishing any new posts over the next few weeks.
But don’t leave!
I promise I’ll be back, hopefully sooner rather than later — more organized, more helpful, and more attractive (the blog, that is!).
If you aren’t yet following me on Facebook **, Twitter, Instagram, or Bloglovin’, make sure you go ahead and do that now. I will be sharing a few sneak peeks along the way, and I’ll certainly let you know when to sign up for the brand spankin’ new newsletter that will be coming! (Well, guess I’m committed now; I just put that in writing!)
In the meantime, check back every Friday for The Pinterest Game and enter your favorite pins for a chance to win! You don’t have to be a blogger to play; if you create and upload pins to Pinterest (for a business, a product or service, a blog, whatever!), join us every week for a chance to win some extra Pinterest exposure. And if you don’t create your own pins, join us to check out a variety of interests you may otherwise miss on the vast network that is Pinterest!
** A note about Facebook: If you already “like” my page but aren’t seeing updates in your newsfeed, it’s because Facebook has a pretty elaborate and complicated algorithm for how it displays things. The bottom line is that in order to see posts from “The Art of ‘Why Not?'” in your newsfeed, you need to interact with the page on a semi-regular basis (visit the page, “like” and share posts, etc.). Also, the more people who interact, the more people Facebook allows the posts to reach. Soooo…all that to say, I would love to see you on my Facebook page and sharing a little Facebook love — it would be a great boost for my blog! 🙂
