I am Wendy and I am so excited you are here! Grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and let’s chat!
Do you have dreams that have been swirling around in your heart, plans that have been painstakingly plotted in your head, projects or adventures that entice you but cannot quite coax you out of your comfort zone? Have you longed to deepen your relationships, be more productive, add a little excitement to your routine? You are not alone, my friend, because I am right there with you. It is time to change our everyday ordinary into everyday extraordinary!
Whether you are stuck in your comfort zone or constantly striving for some unattainable goal, it is time to find that place of contentment where you will truly live. I will help you get there by inspiring you to be intentional…to learn…to be still…to create…to be grateful…to thrive!
I’m calling this journey “The Art of ‘Why Not?’” because I think that God has created each of us a masterpiece, and it is through our successes and our failures — our trying — that the picture He planned from the beginning starts to become visible.
This is an exciting new season of life, and the last thing I want to do is settle, get too comfortable…stagnate. There are a zillion big and little things that pique my interest, but so many remain just dreams, usually due to procrastination, lack of planning, or just plain insecurity. Finally, I looked at my bucket list and asked myself, “Why Not?” The list is long, pretty eclectic, and some things are definitely more exciting than others, but each adds its own dimension of richness — of everyday extraordinary!
If you want to know a little more about me, let me refill your cup while you keep reading!
I am a Christian ~~ I love God and am thankful for the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
I am a wife ~~ I love the most wonderful man in the world and am so thankful he chose to marry me.
I am sometimes an unintentional adventurer ~~ While scuba diving, I’ve wrestled six foot stingrays on the ocean floor for my oxygen regulator; I’ve met the Secretary of State; I’ve had dinner with a princess and a criminal (at the same time!); and I’ve had bomb sniffing dogs detect explosives on my vehicle. Just another day, folks!
I am a transplanted southern girl ~~ I love old southern houses with great big welcoming porches, huge shade trees, cool breezes, and sweet tea. One day I hope to actually live in just such a home, and when I do, you must join me on the porch for a glass of iced tea!
I am a people-person ~~ I love being with people, and I love talking to people…probably more than they love talking to me! 😉
I am a student ~~ I love learning and growing and discovering.
I am a teacher ~~ I love sharing what has been shared with me.
I am a connieseur of the two “Cs” ~~ I love coffee…with hazelnut. And chocolate…with anything. ☕️
“A person can stand almost anything except a succession of ordinary days.” ~~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
